Alexander I Gray participated as a Long Term Observer in the recent European Union Election Observation Mission to Angola. The Preliminary Statement issued by the EU EOM recognises Angola’s demonstrated commitment to peace following a calm electoral process with a high voter turnout. The Statement, however, also points to organisational weaknesses and procedural inconsistencies. A more detailed Final Report will soon be issued by the EU Election Observation Mission.
